Nokia has come up with an ultimate new innovative idea of mobile phone with their Concept Nokia Kinetic design where you would definitely get excited and it may also freak you out when the mobile device gets to standing position from flat position when you receive phone calls. This new concept from the designers of Nokia is sure to pick up the attention of the people over to this new Concept Nokia Kinetic Phone. Many times you might have missed out calls if it happens to be in vibrating or ringtones but with this latest Nokia Kinetic Concept the standing position of device is sure to grab the attention over to it as it gets ticking up to a standing position whenever you come to receive phone call or text message.

This new innovative concept incorporated with Nokia Kinetic concept design will make use of an electromagnetic which is present at the rear end of the device which gives a pressure to lift the device from the flat position to a gradual rise up. However if you don’t want to attend the call at the moment you can just tap it to reject the call.

The latest device designed by Nokia and Cambridge University features a futuristic concept which relies on nano-technology.

This devices shows best how future mobile devices will be flexible and stretchable allowing its user to transform it into any shape he wants. Also the use of nano-technology brings forward a lots of advantages such as self-cleaning surfaces, flexible materials, transparent electronic surfaces.

It is said that this mobile device will be used in almost anything in modern day life. You will be able to turn it easily into a hand watch or into a hands-free device. Nokia said that 100 000 transistors of nano-technology can fit on a single hair of a fly. You will be able to analize the materials around you or if your fruits and vegetables are clean and fresh. You can also observe the environment and detect chemical compounds in the surrounding air. Another great thing about this new futuristic device is that it is solar chargeble thanks to the nano-technology that it relise on.

I am looking forward to see this device on the public market and it will certainly revolutionize and change the world of mobile devices as we know it!

I’ve crossed over one of the best future mobile phone concepts I’ve seen from Nokia.

Nokia Aeon Concept

What does this futuristic concept has that is so great? Well basically it is simple. Nokia Aeon can actually be turned into reality very fast.
So, what makes it so cool? Well you have a full touch-screen surface. Yes, you’ve seen correctly, there are no physical buttons or any kind of physical keyboard.

Is this a good choice for Nokia? To leave out the physical keyboard or buttons? Well we don’t know yet, it depends on what kind of touch-screen technology they try to develop.
But the touch-screen surface is not the only great thing that this future device should have. It is also very thin and very elegant. As far as I know you can easily change the themes, that look great, and you can chose from a variety of colors.

The name in my opinion comes from the design, just because it is so thin and elegant. We sure hope that Nokia will turn this great concept into reality and start a new era in touch-screen devices.

A great upcoming phone from Nokia, the C6 was officially announced to be lunched this summer in Europe.

Nokia C6 Review

It is a touch screen device that also has a full QWERTY keyboard for those who prefer a physical keyboard for writing messages instead of a virtual one. As far as I know it comes out in two colors, white and black. They both look great but I thing the white one is more elegant and has more style. But of course this depends on everyone’s taste.

The exterior design looks nice. It has curved edges and the call and end call buttons are standard but kind of thin. The screen has 3.2 inches and it is wide enough. It has quick access to Facebook from the home screen. As other nice applications you have Ovi Maps that will help those who travel a lot or tourists.

As far as I know, for the multi-media section you have a 5mpx camera. It is quite enough for good quality photos or quick photos.

Overall it seems like a nice mobile and the standard price in Europe is 220 euros. So quite affordable for such a device.

It was on the waiting list until today, 13 of April 2010. Nokia announced to lunch a trio of devices which includes the latest E5. This is supposed to be a better messaging and social network phone that can be both for personal use or for business.

Nokia E5 Features

To begin with, this phone has a full QWERTY keyboard like other Nokia phones such as the E71. The keyboard is easy to use and will help you write your emails or messages fast enough. Above the call and end call buttons are other two buttons one is for “home” probably used in the web-browsing application and another one used for e-mails or messages. And on top of those two buttons there are another two buttons that are used to select different options.

Nokia E5 Specs

The design is not fantastic, but still it looks great for a phone that is this size. It weights 126 grams and has 115 X 59 X 13 mm. Fits almost every pocket but eventually you won’t have space for anything else.
At the back of the device is the opening to the battery and the interior of the phone. Also at the back of it you can find a 5 mpx camera with a LED flash.

The display is rather small for a phone that is made specially for web-browsing,social networks and messaging. It has only 2.4″ with a resolution of 320X240 pixels. The great thing is that it comes with 16m colors.

As I already said the greatest thing about this mobile phone is the software. It runs on an S60 3rd edition feature Pack 2 and comes with a lot of applications of social networks, as I already repeated numerous times. Also it has a GPS, free navigation system and a VPN client. The E5 supports 3.5 connectivity with maximum downloads speeds of 10.2 mbs and upload of 2mbs.

Last but not least another important thing when deciding if the phone is worth it is the battery. Well, this one seems to be worth it because it has a 1200 mAh battery that can power the phone for 29 days(maximum). Nokia said you have 5.5 hours talk time in 3g and 18.5 hours talk time in GSM. That sounds good enough for me.

If you like messagin and staying in touch with your friends on social network or you have an online business going on this phone will suite your needs and fell free to try it. It comes at a price of 180euros on ovi shops. It is not that cheap but as we are used to it, Nokia makes great and reliable phones.

A cool design for Nokia can be found in the 7705 Twist. Well, the name tells us what it is all abut, the physical keyboard simply twists around so you can write messages, emails or other notes.

Nokia 7705 Twist Review

It certainly is a new design, not only because of its keyboard but also the call and end call buttons are changed. The call button is black and it simply has “CLR” written on it. The end call and power button looks different. It is round with red edges and white at the interior. When it comes to size this phone is great. It can fit any pocket, its dimensions are 69 x 69 x 15mm and it only weights 98g.

Nokia 7705 Twist Specs

The physical keyboard has all the keys you need, including a send button and an end one. The screen is rather small. It has a 2.4″ 240 x 320 pixel display with bright colors, 262k colors. The bottom right button, the round one, lets you adjust colors so you can see who’s calling you, if they are people from your contacts or not.

On the back of the phone is a 3mpx camera. It is not a multi-media phone, but some pictures are welcome. Anyway the concepts of this phone is to write messages, emails, notes and keep track of the conversations along the way and on the run.

As applications for messaging you have email, IM, MMS and SMS.A good thing is that the Nokia 7705 Twist supports bluetooth and microUSB expandable memory. The battery is not that great, though it can support 4.5 hours talktime and a standby time of 13 days.

I would propose this phone if you are a message person and you use a lot of messaging applications and maybe if you are always on the move. Still, this phone can’t replace a business phone.

Both devices were released last month and they are simply great. But still one of them must be better than the other.
They both have an attractive design. They look great.Wide screen, great resolution, but the N900 has a physical keyboard and that gives it an advantage because some users prefer to use a physical keyboard when writing messages or e-mails.

The size is almost the same but the weight differs in favor for the N900 that has 181g.The HD2 is not that far and only weights 157g.

The display is great at both phones. The resolution is the same 800X480 but the HD2 has a screen of 4.3” wider than the N900 that only has 3.5”.But that’s not a big loose for the N900 because it has 16M colors when the HD2 only has 65k.But not so bad after all.

At the sound section the N900 looses some ground because the alert types are only by vibration and mp3 audio files when as the HD2 has a lot more to offer: Vibration; Downloadable polyphonic, MP3, WAV, WMA ringtones.Still I don’t think that is such an important thing. They both have stereo speakers and a standard 3.5mm audio jack.

When it comes to memory the N900 leads because it has up to 1GB application memory (256 MB RAM, 768 MB virtual memory) and an internal storage of 32Gb expandable up to 16GB using a microSD while as the HD2 has 448 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM and an internal storage expandable using a microSD.
The both devices have unlimited entries in the phonebook and unlimited call records.

The both machines have same GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and v2.0 microUSB.The N900 also has infrared port.

The cameras differs a little bit.The N900 has 5 MP, 2576×1936 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Dual LED flash, video light that features Geo-tagging and video WVGA at 848×480@ 25fps and secondary VGA while as the HD2 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, dual LED flash that also features Geo-tagging and video recording VGA@30fps but without any secondary.

The operating systems differ. The HD2 uses Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and the N900 uses Linux based Maemo 5.I think that N900 uses a better one because it’s an Linux based version and we will see next that it has many preinstalled applications that come with the OS.

The HD2 has a better CPU, the Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor and the N900 uses ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz, PowerVR SGX graphics.

They have an equal number of applications, almost but they differ a lot.
The N900 uses for messaging SMS (threaded view), Email, Push Email, IM and also Skype and GoogleTalk VoIP integration when the HD2 SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Instant Messaging.
The other applications for the N900 are: mozilla browser, MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ music player,
WMV/RealVideo/MP4/AVI/XviD/DivX video player, PDF document viewer, Adobe Flash Player 9.4 and alos has a TV-out.The HD2 uses: Digital compass, MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player, MP4/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, Facebook and Twitter integration, YouTube client, Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF viewer), HTC Peep, HTC Footprints, Voice memo and T9.

They both use a standard Li-lon 1230 mAH battery.
The stand-by time for HD2 is up to 490h using 2G and 390h using 3G.
Talk time goes up to 6h 20 min using 2G and 5h 40min using 3G.
Music play goes up to 12h.

The specifications for battery life look the same for N900 but they are not well mentioned.

So what is the best choice? Well, it depends on what customers prefer and what they will use the phone for.
My personal choice will be the N900 because I have confidence in their company and also in their phones.

Nokia 6700 Slide comes in variety of colors.

The Slide is much more capable than the Classic simply because the classic version is totally replaced.
The 6700 Slide is actually an S60 smartphone.

It has a 5mpx camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics.
Video recording is at 640 x 480 pixels at 15 frames per second.

It has a display of 2.2” 240 x 320 in 16 million colors.

The machine gives a maximum download speed of 10.2Mb/s and uploads of 2Mb/s.It is a 3.5G device with both
HSDPA and HSUPA high-speed data.

It has a microSD expandable memory and comes with a 2GB card in the standard sales package and Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0.
The battery is kind of small, but Nokia say that thus battery can power the 6700Slide for up to 3 hours talk time on 3G and 10 days on standby.

The keypad has a flat design similar to the Classic one.The design looks ok but it’s obviously not a gorgeous phone.

Nokia says that this smart phone will be available sometime during Q1 in 2010.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is Nokia’s first current generation touchscreen phone, featuring a 3.2″ display, 3.5G data, WiFi, GPS, a TV out port and a built-in accelerometer.
In the UK, it’s a little expensive at the moment, around £350 for a SIM-free version, but prices will drop down soon in Europe, at about 330 euro.

The user interface is easy to use – if you have used a S60 handset before you will have no problem adapting to it. However one small problem with the S60 is that it will be hard to keep up with which applications are running. You will often find applications that you thought are closed still running-and that’s not a good thing. Almost all screens flip between orientations automatically, apart from the home screen.

The interface is kind of bizarre. It sometimes requires a single tap, and sometimes requires a double tap-there seems to be no reason for this difference.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic includes in its price all the stuff that you need for it, including a carry case, 8 GB memory card, spare stylus, USB cable, TV out cable, wired headset and a lanyard and there’s even a small stand that you can use when working at your desk.
The design is really simple and it looks good. It doesn’t look like an iPhone but still it keeps the smooth look of a nokia.
The 3.2″ 640 x 360 pixel screen is very crisp and clear when used indoors, outdoors you might have a small problem with daylight, but that’s not much of a thing.
The touch-sensitive panel can be used either with a stylus or using your finger.
The 5800 is about 20% lighter than the iPhone and it’s not larger then a typical N-series. The 3.2″ display on the 5800 is smaller than the 3.5″ panel on the Apple iPhone, but the 5800 has a much higher resolution and that’s a great thing at this phone.

The music player is easy to use and it works either in portrait or in landscape mode, the screen switching automatic. The phone has a 3,5 mm socket, that means you can plug a variety of headphones into it,so you’re not limited to the set that you receive in the box.
Playback on the headphones is great and can be very loud, so you won’t have a problem with that. But on the other hand there is a problem with the sound reproduction if you try listening to music on the loudspeaker-the quality is not the same as in other similar phones.

Videos and stills images can all be viewed in the gallery, again this is very easy to use and it works in both landscape and portrait modes. Video playback quality is excellent on the 3.2″ internal display, or it can be sent to a TV with the supplied cable.
The wide screen ratio of the phone is ideal for a tv playback but the quality of the graphic doesn’t scale to well on a big screen.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a gps enebled phone and it comes with nokia maps, that unfortunately works just in portrait mode and that’s kind of annoying because many people are used to landscape mode when working with gps devices. But you can use google maps, even if it is sad that it’s not compatible with this phone and google maps works in landscape mode. The only problem is that it runs slower then nokia maps because when used in landscape mode the gps antenna is at the bottom so you get a bad connection with the satellite.
Despite these limitations, the 5800 makes a much better GPS device than other Nokias because of the large touchscreen .

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has a 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flash. The picture qulity is good , but not great. There is obviously noise in the picture.
Web browsing is always easier if you have more pixels, and the 640 pixel wide display on the 5800 XpressMusic is much better suited for viewing web pages than the standard 240 pixel wide panels found in most phones.

The 640 pixel wide screen is great for web browsing, but most websites nowadays assume that you have at least 800 pixels. You can zoom in and out of the page by double tapping the screen.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a pretty good phone, it’s easy to use, comes with a capable web browser and excellent multimedia support and is frankly a lot of fun.As for the camera, there’s always place for better.

The “X” designation seems to be Nokia’s new version of “XpressMusic”, and the X6 comes in both a normal version and a “Comes with Music” variant allowing unlimited music downloads. Perhaps Nokia think that the shorter name will be more memorable when the X6 faces off against the iPhone.

The X6 has a 3.2″ 640 x 360 pixel display (the same panel that is in the N97 mini) but it now has a 5 megapixel camera.

The X6 comes with a 32 Gb non expendable memory and has several software upgrades that include better support for social networking sites.

This is a 3G phone with tri-band UMTS and support for HSDPA downloads at a maximum of 6 Mbps. It also has quad-band GSM and WiFi, although Chinese and South American versions are different.

The X6 is promoted as a media player and it comes with a Tv-out port that can take standard 3.5mm audio plug. You can also playback via stereo Bluetooth or the X6’s built in stereo speakers. The internal memory is pretty big so it can support plenty of music or videos.

The camera has a 5 megapixel unit with autofocus, Carl Zeiss optics and a dual-LED flash. Video recording stands at 640X840 pixels at 30 frames per second-the TV and film frame rate are 25 and 24 frames per second- so that’s pretty good for Tv playback or YouTube.

There’s a web browser with Flash Lite support and an email client that supports standard protocols and Microsoft Exchange.

Because this is an S60 smartphone, new applications can be added at a later date, but there a quite a lot of applications preloaded, including a version of Spore. S60 still lacks the polish of Apple’s offering, but it keeps getting better and it is certainly very usable.

The price is rather big, you can have the X6 at a price of €450 more expensive than the 5800 that is €250 compared with the small changes that the X6 brings us.
