Research in Motion, the maker of Blackberry unveiled the Playbook today. The latest tablet computer to hit the market was showcased at the developer conference on Monday. With the tablet market being dominated by Apple’s iPad, other technology companies are also trying to make a run at this niche market.

“Every successful professional has a great PlayBook,” said Mike Lazaridis, co-chief executive of RIM, at the BlackBerry Developer conference in San Francisco.

The Playbook, features a 7-inch screen, 3MP front-facing and 5MP rear-facing high-definition camera, weighing in at 0.9 pounds at 9.7 millimeters. The Playbook tablets are looking at a 2011 release with Wi-Fi as the only internet option. RIM plans on offering 3G and 4G models sometime in the foreseeable future.

The Blackberry Playbook will boast a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, this compared to the iPad, which only has a single-core and 256 MB of ram.

The new Playbook will not be using RIM’s BlackBerry 6 operating system, instead it will feature the “BlackBerry Tablet OS”, which a QNX Software rep says will offer “just a great gaming experience.” QNX Software Systems will make the new operating platform and was recently acquired by RIM (RIMM) earlier this year.

Other features include: Supports Flash, HTML5, and Adobe AIR

These features will allow the BlackBerry Tablet to be able to virtually open any webpage.

RIM shares rose about 2% during after-hours trade Monday, but value of shares are still down nearly 30% this year due to reports suggesting the company is falling behind Smartphone mainstays like Apple, and the Android operating system.

This seems to be a great choice for a business man or maybe if you just need a business phone. This is not an multimedia phone but it’s great for organizing your stuff from it.

The exterior aspect looks great. It has a wide screen and the specific physical keyboard of the BlackBerry. The primary color is black. It is kind of big to fit a normal pocket, its dimensions are 109 x 60 x 14 mm.It weights 122 g , so it’s not a light phone.

Blackberry Bold 9700 Review

The display is TFT type and has 65k colors. It is not such a wide screen, its dimensions are 480 x 360 pixels, 2.44 inches, so there is place for better. The screen also has a touch-sensitive optical trackpad.
The memory is big enough. You have practically unlimited entries and 256 RAM of memory. It also has a 2 GB included microSD and you can add a memory card that has a storage mass up to 16GB.

Blackberry Bold 9700 Specs

It supports GPRS class 10,EDGE class 10 236,8 kbps,3G HSDPA 3,6MBPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UMA,Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0. So it has a lot of useful features.
As I already said before, it is not a multi-media phone, so the camera is not that great, but still it has 3.15MPX with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. It also has autofocus and LED flash.Even though it is not a high tech camera it comes with image stabilization.
It has video features.

The best part at this device is the applications, operating system and all the things you can do with them. The operating system is BackBerry Os 5.0/This OS works really great specially for multi-tasking. The processor is also great for multi-tasking, the phone has a 624 MHz processor.
As for the applications, it has an HTML web-browser.Speaking of applications, the messaging applications are diverse, you have SMS,MMS, EMAIL and IM. A great thing that many clients prefer to have is a GPS, so this phone doesn’t lack one.The GPS also has A-GPS support.

Talking of applications you have a diversity of java applications like: BlackBerry maps, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Media player MP3/WMA/AAC+,Video player DivX/WMV/XviD/3gp, Organizer, Voice memo/dial.

The battery is an average one.It is the Li-Ion 1500 mAh with a stand-by time of 408 h and a talk time of 6 h.

So, taking in consideration all the specifications and applications of this phone, it is certainly a business phone and it is quite useful if you’re a business man or just a busy person who thinks that this phone will suite your needs.

The BlackBerry Storm2 is actually last year’s BlackBerry , but with small adjustments.
The phone tat was released least year had a lot of bugs, but still it was sold well in US and Europe.

The design just looks the same and if you search for any obvious differences between the BackBerry storm and the BlackBerry Storm2 you won’t find them.

The basic changes are in the software. The last edition actually has WiFi.The touchscreen functions are improved.Last year’s BlackBerry Storm was BackBerry’s first touchscreen phone.

Finally, the internal memory is doubled to include an integrated 2GB card which can be expanded via the microSD slot with another 16GB, and probably 32GB when those cards become available.

Most of the other specifications are basically unchanged – there’s a large 3.25″ 480 x 360 pixel touchscreen display in 65,000 colours, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, stereo Bluetooth 2.1 and integrated GPS plus 3.5G data support.
