It was on the waiting list until today, 13 of April 2010. Nokia announced to lunch a trio of devices which includes the latest E5. This is supposed to be a better messaging and social network phone that can be both for personal use or for business.

To begin with, this phone has a full QWERTY keyboard like other Nokia phones such as the E71. The keyboard is easy to use and will help you write your emails or messages fast enough. Above the call and end call buttons are other two buttons one is for “home” probably used in the web-browsing application and another one used for e-mails or messages. And on top of those two buttons there are another two buttons that are used to select different options.

The design is not fantastic, but still it looks great for a phone that is this size. It weights 126 grams and has 115 X 59 X 13 mm. Fits almost every pocket but eventually you won’t have space for anything else.
At the back of the device is the opening to the battery and the interior of the phone. Also at the back of it you can find a 5 mpx camera with a LED flash.

The display is rather small for a phone that is made specially for web-browsing,social networks and messaging. It has only 2.4″ with a resolution of 320X240 pixels.The great thing is that it comes with 16m colors.

As I already said the greatest thing about this mobile phone is the software. It runs on an S60 3rd edition feature Pack 2 and comes with a lot of applications of social networks, as I already repeated numerous times. Also it has a GPS, free navigation system and a VPN client. The E5 supports 3.5 connectivity with maximum downloads speeds of 10.2 mbs and upload of 2mbs.

Last but not least another important thing when deciding if the phone is worth it is the battery. Well, this one seems to be worth it because it has a 1200 mAh battery that can power the phone for 29 days(maximum). Nokia said you have 5.5 hours talk time in 3g and 18.5 hours talk time in GSM. That sounds good enough for me.

It comes at a price of 180euros on ovi shops. It is not that cheap but as we are used to it, Nokia makes great and reliable phones.
