Apple TV To Change Name To iTV

Word of a major overhaul to the Apple TV set-top box has been circulating through the internet and more expectations that the new hardware would be cheap and iPhone-based. As a part of its renovation step to Apple TV it has changed its brand name of Apple TV to iTV. Moreover other information is unclear still now such as whether iPad or iPhone apps will be much compactable for the new device or whether iTV will be distributed under the banners of the App Store.

The other plans of Apple includes stopping up of some annoying back sounds and name change to match up with its other brand names such as iPhone and iPad. However other online sources claim that the iTV will be limited to 720p whereas it is currently 1080p video. The restriction is allegedly a matter of “much internal debate” at Apple, but based on the technical limits of the A4 processor, which may be too slow to handle the resolution. The iPad and iPhone 4 are also struggling much with 720p. However according to the early rumors it is much expected that the price of the iTV might reach up to $99.
