The month long outbreak of cholera in Haiti continues to take the lives of many.

The Haitian Ministry of Health announced Sunday morning that about 917 have died from the outbreak, and o ver 14,642 have been hospitalized.

In addition, the earthquake in Haiti over 10 months ago left hundreds of thousands of citizens to live in squalid camps. This has caused great medical concern due to the fact that the cholera outbreak continues to grow, and if it were to reach one of the squalid camps, it could grow even faster.

Christian Lindmeier, a spokesman for the World Health Organization, state that “In Port-au-Prince along they give a total deaths of 27 and 607 hospitalizations.”
